Every single story and narrative that we fish out from the past to throw at another person, the arguments, determined to prove that, that the only true version of the story is our version of the story. Plop! The Ego pop!
Rallying through the streets of past experiences, beliefs so strong, the clips playing in the narration of the narrative being told, seem so real, that the simple truth is blindsided by the battle of who is better than who. Plop! The Ego pop!
Mistakes that were made, words that were spat, what’s different now, reliving those moments of pain and hurt caused by a misunderstanding, a simple misunderstanding of beliefs. A thought that became thinking. Thinking that became feeling. Plop! The Ego Pop!
Once the understanding is in place, the misunderstanding disappears and clarity appears, what happened in the past is not real anymore, the stories that we remember, were never deliberate or intentional. It happened in that moment, and stay in that moment, until it is brought back through another thought in this moment, giving it the illusion of reality. But what’s reality but a thought in the moment, that passes as soon as new thought takes its place. Is it really real? Fizz! The Ego drops!
The awareness of mind, thought and consciousness, revealed by what the emotions have been tied to, a simple thought is all there has ever been to it, the anger, the anguish, the insecurity, the pain and the hurt, words! Words given meaning as desired to create a feeling, clouded with judgement. The moment of awareness. Fizz! The Ego Drops!
Innocent ignorance of blindness or weakness, seeing what was right there all along, hidden behind the fog of all the thinking. There was never a ‘I am better than you’ battle, it was just one truth vs another, one reality vs another. No winner or loser. Just a misunderstanding of being outside of the logic and the understanding. Fizz! The Ego drops!
The doors of forgiveness now open wide, forgiveness of myself and others, dropping back into the wisdom and resilience. It was just a thought and thinking. Fizz! The Ego drops!
